NOTES FOR OWNERS & PROPERTY MANAGERS

 

In addition to whatever screening and background checks you may have conducted for yourself or your company, the MetroWest Master Association (MWMA) has mandated that each local community / subdivision develop its own rental standards and screen all applicants (through a single screening company.) Metro Screening has been tasked with assisting Azur in complying with this MWMA mandate.

Unfortunately, this usually results in some duplication. In the case of Azur this includes:

  • A separate tenant application to the Azur HOA;
  • A separate screening for the HOA;
  • A separate fee.

We have tried to keep this fee lower than many other screening companies who are charging from $125-150 per application, and the entire process can be initiated and paid for by the tenant by directing them to the Azur screening page. Results are automatically shared with the HOA and you will be notified if there are any issues that would prevent move in. Please do not move in applicants until you receive the green light from either Metro Screening or Azur, or you may find yourself in violation of their governing documents. No Property Manager? No problem.

If you are screening applicants without the assistance of a property manager, you can use the Full Service option and Metro Screening will solicit an entire application from the tenant, including an application form, full background check including credit score and both employment and prior landlord checks for you.
